HOLLYWOOD screen beauty Scarlett Johansson is to marry Canadian boyfriend Ryan Reynolds after a year-long relationship, a spokesman for the actress confirmed today. Johansson, 23, the star of The Nanny Diaries, Lost In Translation and Match Point, was said to be "thrilled" at the engagement, representative Marcel Pariseau said in a email to Agence-France Presse. No wedding date has yet been set. According to Celebrity site millionairecupid.com, Reynolds, 31, whose films include Blade Trinity, and Definitely Maybe, popped the question recently. Appropriately, Reynolds is working on a film called The Proposal, People said. The Vancouver-born hunk was previously engaged to Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette from 2004 until their reported split in 2006. Johansson has recently signalled her intention to branch out by pursuing a music career. Her debut album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, is due out on May 20. Her next film appearance comes in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona, her third collaboration with the veteran New York director following 2005's Scoop and Match Point the following year. |
